On The Town: New York Eats
I recently went to NYC and basically did nothing but eat. I wasn’t in a shopping mood (except on missions for others) so the whole trip consisted of meeting friends for a variety of meals. I went to a lot of places I’ve been to before and also some newer “hotspots”. Here are a few highlights and look for detailed reviews coming up over the next few days on a few of the restaurants below.
A Taste of Seafood – My Harlem fried fish spot. Love this place. I would walk on hot coals for the macaroni and cheese and fried okra. True story.
Angelica Kitchen – A great vegetarian (maybe vegan?) eatery in the East Village. Total comfort food.
Co. (Full review to come) – Amazing pizza. The best I’ve had in a while.
Dinosaur BBQ – An old favourite. Although this time around I found myself craving more smoke!
Madangsui (Full review to come) – Korean BBQ in midtown… very interesting.
Momofuku Noodle Bar (Full review to come) – the infamous Momofuku. It was heavenly.
Snack – Greek-inspired food at a tiny spot in SoHo. I fell in love.
Hundred Acres – Another restaurant in the Marc Meyer/Vicki Freeman empire. I went for brunch (of course) and loved it… again!
